01 Production line evolution: from single assembly to vertical integration

What is the difference between this production line and others?

The first stage: simple assembly

Purchase panels, motherboards and chassis, and ship them after assembly. Quality depends on suppliers and delivery is subject to external supply chains.

The second stage: key process automatic control

The introduction of SMT patch line, the motherboard independent production.

Phase III: Vertical integration of the whole chain

  • SMT patch: Main board, sub-board independent production.
  • MetalworkingPrecision sheet metal cutting, CNC bending, electrostatic powder coating.
  • plastic injection molding: independent injection molding of frame, corner protective sleeve and interface cover plate.
  • Touch panel manufacturing and optical bonding: Completed in a dust-free clean room.
  • Firmware burning and software configuration: Android systems, OEM starters, pre-installed applications are completed before burn-in testing.
Most display manufacturers are just assembly plants-buy panels, buy motherboards, buy chassis, and put them together. The difference between the Qtenboard is: motherboard assembly, metal chassis manufacturing, touch panel bonding, plastic injection molding-all completed under the same roof, subject to the same set of quality management system constraints.

02 Incoming inspection: the first line of defense for automation

Step 1: Unqualified materials cannot enter the production line.

IQC (incoming quality control) completes parameter verification for all electronic components before entering production. Touch controller, display driver, WiFi board and other key modules to implement more stringent testing standards. The display panel checks backlight uniformity, color accuracy, and dead dots. Key material batch records, associated with subsequent production data.

The first capability of an automated production line is not to assemble at high speed, but to prevent unqualified materials from entering the next process.

03 SMT Patch: Accuracy of 120000 components per hour

The second step: SMT patch, motherboard "heart surgery"

1. Solder paste printing

The PCB enters the automatic solder paste printing equipment, and the steel mesh prints the solder paste to the pad position. SPI detects solder paste volume, height and position.

2. Component mounting

Fully automatic SMT patch line, more than one hour 120,000 componentsThe accuracy is up to micron level. Covers a variety of motherboard platforms used by Qtenboard interactive whiteboards.

3. Reflow soldering

PCB into the reflow oven, through the preheating, heating, welding and cooling temperature zone. The temperature profile is set according to the component and PCB structure.

4. AOI Automated Optical Inspection

The camera and image analysis system check the status of solder joints and components, and detect problems such as missing parts, wrong parts, offset, reverse, solder bridge, and lack of tin.

The value of SMT automation is not just "sticking fast" -120000 components per hour-but also that each motherboard is manufactured according to the same process parameters and tested before entering the next process.

04 PCBA test: motherboard first "separate examination"

Step 3: The motherboard cannot be directly installed

  • Power-on test, power output verification
  • HDMI, USB, Type-C, network port, OPS and other interface test
  • Display signal output, audio output test
  • Wireless module and communication function testing
  • Firmware burning, MAC address and serial number binding

If the motherboard problem is discovered after the whole machine is assembled, the cost and time of disassembly and rework will increase exponentially. The value of PCBA testing lies in blocking problems before assembly.

05 Touch and display module: precise fit in the dust-free workshop

Step 4: display and touch "zero distance" combination

1. Touch Box Manufacturing

The infrared or capacitive touch frame is manufactured in a clean, dust-free room to check the integrity of the touch area and the flatness of the frame.

2. Optical bonding

The display panel and the touch layer are bonded together in the clean room to reduce light reflection and refraction caused by the air layer. The bonding pressure, temperature, time and positioning accuracy are controlled. After bonding, check bubbles, dust and edge lifting.

3. Touch Calibration

Multi-touch recognition, edge accuracy, writing linearity, response speed, consistency verification of touch coordinates and display screen.

For interactive whiteboards, clear display is only the foundation. What really determines the use experience is whether the touch is accurate, whether the writing is coherent, and whether it is still stable when multiple people interact.

06 Structural parts and machine assembly: metal, plastic and glass in one

Step 5: From module to complete machine

In-house manufacturing capabilities (key to differentiating between assembly plants)

Three control points

  • structural accuracy: Screen and frame clearance, front frame back cover fit
  • Harness Management: Plug in place, no extrusion loosening, power supply and signal line separation
  • Torque controlAutomatic screw locking device to ensure consistency

07 Functional test of the whole machine: comprehensive verification of 20 parameters

Step 6: Each one must pass 20 tests

  • IPQC (Process Quality Control): Random inspection of wire harness, structure and touch control during assembly
  • OQC (Shipping Quality Control)Re-inspection of firmware, interface, brightness and whole machine quality before shipment

08 Aging test: 48 hours high temperature "baking test"

Step 7: Let each device run continuously for 48 hours

  • The whole machine runs continuously in high temperature environment 48 hoursSimulate long-term use conditions.
  • Re-evaluation after aging: touch accuracy, display brightness, thermal management, system stability, audio output, wireless connection.
  • Only products that have passed all assessments enter the packaging process.
  • International order packing is reinforced according to transportation distance and logistics conditions.

There is no fast-changing mechanical action in the burn-in test area, only rows of continuously running screens. For engineers, this is the area where patience is most needed-because many potential problems will not appear in the first minute of startup, but may only be exposed after long-term operation and continuous heating.

09 Data traceability: the "digital ID" of each product"

The secret of this production line is not just the machine, but the data.

  • Work orders are automatically issued and production models are automatically identified.
  • Each device is bound with a unique serial number
  • Key process code scanning station
  • Motherboard, panel and touch module are associated with the whole machine information
  • Save AOI, Functional Test and Burn-in Test Results
  • Automatic isolation of abnormal products
  • Engineers analyze batch problems based on data
Traditional factories record "how many units have been produced"; Intelligent production lines pay more attention to "how each product is produced".

10 Man-machine collaboration: engineers are still the core of the production line

After automation, the role of people changed.

Equipment responsible:Repetitive action, high-speed mounting, standardized testing, data recording

The Engineer is responsible:Process parameter setting, equipment maintenance, anomaly analysis, new product introduction, OEM custom demand conversion, rework and quality improvement.

Instead of taking engineers out of the production site, line automation allows them to move from repetitive assembly to process management, quality analysis and continuous improvement.

11 Independent OEM production line: customization does not affect mass production

Step 8: Custom orders have exclusive production lines

Qtenboard established Independent OEM customization area, physically isolated from the standard production line:

  • UI Custom Printing Area
  • Chassis screen printing area
  • Boot animation programming station

OEM customers provide brand logos, color schemes, wallpapers and design materials, and engineers integrate them into a unified UI vision, startup animation and look brand.

Key advantages: The custom production line runs independently, and standard orders and custom orders can be produced at the same time without affecting each other.

Supported Custom Dimensions

  • Different sizes (32 ″-110 ″)
  • Different system configurations (Android/Windows dual system)
  • Different interfaces and appearances
  • OEM Boot Interface and Software Pre-installed
  • SKD/CKD Parts Assembly Support
